Chiefs hand Maart a new deal
29-year-old Yusuf Maart will stay on at Chiefs and play a vital role in their midfield, according to local reports from @UnplayableZA on X. Since arriving from Sekhukhune in July 2022, Maart has been a near ever-present in the Amakhosi engine room. Last season, he made 27 appearances in the league.
Is ‘Depú’ Kaizer Chiefs material?
25-year-old Angolan striker Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurélio, commonly known as Depú, got zero goals and one assist in 24 league games in Serbia last season. Not the most mind-blowing record. He did, however, excel for Angola in a recent Cosafa Cup match against Bafana.

Pre-season tour loading for Kaizer Chiefs
As you’ll know by now, Chiefs are heading to the land of Dennis Bergkamp, Virgil van Dijk and Wesley Sneijder for their European pre-season tour adventure. The Glamour Boys jet out on 03 July and conclude the tour on 19 July. It should be a fun fortnight! George Matlou, somewhat surprisingly, will be on the flight. Young holding midfielder Thulani Mabaso will also be there; the left-footed player has impressed the technical team.
