With concrete interest in the services of Karim Kimvuidi, the player will finally be granted his wish to leave the Pirates. Since arriving from Maritzburg in July 2023, he’s only managed 37 appearances for the club.
“Kimvuidi is pursuing a move from Pirates after two years of battling to establish himself as a regular at the club despite all the potential he showed while at Maritzburg United,” an insider stated on KickOff.
“Kimvuidi has also had enquiries from Belgium club Royal Chaleroi while his name was also rubbed on Spanish second-tier league club Real Racing Club de Santander,” the insider added.

Oswin Appollis suffered a little from ‘second-season’ syndrome after a breakout campaign in 2023-2024. This term, the Polokwane livewire only managed two goals and an assist from 25 league outings. Hardly earth-shattering numbers for a player expected to win games for his manager. Polokwane improved on last season’s eighth-placed finish with a seventh-placed finish this term, so it’s not as if his teammates regressed. Appollis claimed six goals and three assists in the league last time out.
