Although he’s been at the club for less than a year, Inacio Miguel will wear the Chiefs captain’s armband in 2025-2026. The Angolan defender is a popular figure in the dressing room and, despite a knack for picking up bookings, he’s seen as an indispensable member of the first XI.

Not long ago, Yusuf Maart was allegedly on the brink of triggering a one-year contract extension option with Kaizer Chiefs. Now, the 29-year-old midfielder is on the verge of completing a move to Austrian side SV Ried. In three years at the club since moving from Sekhukhune, Maart has clocked up 95 appearances with seven goals and eight assists. SV Ried secured promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga for the 2025-2026 season.
