Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of midfielder Phillip Ndlondlo on Wednesday evening.

The 28-year-old is joined the Buccaneers in 2022 and made a number of notable contributions during his time in the famous black and white. Ndlondlo has a good first season under Jose Riveiro but fell down the pecking order a season later, with the ex-Pirates coach preferring Thalente Mbatha in the middle of the park.

Ndlodlo’s absence during pre-season hinted that the midfielder was not part of coach Abdeslam Ouaddou‘s plans ahead of the 2025/26 season.
