Relebohile Mofokeng to join Mohau Nkota in Saudi – Report

Relebohile Mofokeng could leave Orlando Pirates to join Mohau Nkota in Saudi Arabia.

Nkota left the Buccaneers after one season to join Saudi outfit Al-Ettifaq. The 20-year-old has had a fantastic season with Pirates, scoring five goals and providing seven assists in 39 matches across all competitions.

On Friday, Unplayable reported that Nkota’s former teammate Mofokeng could also join him in Saudi this transfer period.

“Unpalayable can confirm Relebohile Mofokeng is set to join Mohau Nkota at Saudi club, Al-Ettifaq. Based on information we’ve received from an impeccable source in Saudi Arabia, negotiations are ongoing,” the publication reported on X.

Mofokeng has been one of Orlando Pirates’ best players in the past two years, helping them reach the CAF Champions League semi-finals. He has made close to 100 appearances for the Buccaneers across all competitions in three years and has won four trophies with the Soweto giants.

Relebohile Mofokeng moving to Saudi Arabia might not be his dream move, as he was tipped to play in Europe’s big leagues. Earlier this week, Soccer Laduma reported that Dutch giants PSV were keen to bring in the attacker for R100 million but the Buccaneers have since rubbished those claims.

Orlando Pirates are still in Spain, concluding their pre-season camp before returning to South Africa. Relebohile Mofokeng is expected to return with the squad unless a deal is made in the coming days.

Should Mofokeng move to Saudi?
