PowerBall draw jackpot balloons to R124 million on Tuesday, 5 August

Excitement is sweeping the country as the PowerBall and PowerBall Plus jackpots have climbed to a combined R155 million.

According to lottery operator ITHUBA, the PowerBall jackpot now stands at a staggering R124 million, while the PowerBall Plus prize has reached R31 million ahead of the draw scheduled for Tuesday, 5 August.

This comes after there were no winners of Friday, 1 August’s jackpot.

“With jackpots of this magnitude, the dream of financial freedom feels more real than ever,” ITHUBA said, encouraging players to buy their tickets via licensed retailers, online platforms, or mobile apps.

The record prize pool has triggered a surge in nationwide ticket sales, with hopeful South Africans looking to change their lives – from settling debts to upgrading homes or even buying luxury properties.

In the midst of rising costs and economic strain, many view the potential windfall as more than just luck – but as a lifeline of opportunity.

The draw will be broadcast live on Tuesday evening, and results will be available shortly after on official platforms, as well as The South African website.

Good luck!
