As far as epic schools rugby battles go, Paarl Boys’ High famous comeback win over rivals Paarl Gimnasium on Saturday undoubtedly ranks right up there.
Boishaai trailed 33-21 with seven minutes remaining, but two late tries enabled them to clinch a stunning 35-33 victory – their first over their arch-rivals since 2022.
Centre Tristan Joubert brilliantly finished what would turn out to be the match-winning try in the 66th minute, which was cooly converted by centre Iwan Jordaan.
