Bafana Bafana star wants to return to SA for Kaizer Chiefs ONLY!

Kaizer Chiefs may have been struggling in the recent past but it does not look their pull is suffering.

Chiefs have failed to qualify for the MTN8 two consecutive seasons but the club still seems attractive.

To be fair, the previous campaign was also significant in the sense that they finally broke their 10-year trophy drought. They did this by beating arch rivals Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup. An impressive run in that competition saw Chiefs beat the Betway Premiership top three. Stellenbosch FC and Mamelodi Sundowns were the other victims of the run in that has earned them CAF Confederation Cup football.

Chiefs still an attractive proposition

Competing on the African continent will give Chiefs an extra layer of attraction to players outside South African boarders. Amakhosi will be looking to make sure they use this to their best ability. They have been given an opportunity to do so immediately it seems. This as iDiski Times reports that Bafana Bafana International Mihlali Mayambela wants to come back to country to become a glamour boy.

“ Aris Limassol and Bafana Bafana winger Mihlali Mayambela is open to a PSL move with Kaizer Chiefs believed to be his preferred team of choice. He has one year left on his contract with Limassol and the former Djurgårdens IF speedy winger has been linked in the past with a return home and play in the PSL, but a dream move back to the Chiefs is what could trigger him.” Wrote the publication.

Mayambela keen on Amakhosi return

Mayambela has spent nine years of his career abroad. Although he has never played in South Africa, he has roots at Chiefs having played for their youth development side in the past. The winger was part of the Bafana side that won the bronze medal at the last AFCON. His trickery and speed on the wing would certainly add value and quality to the Amakhosi side should they decide to sign him.

Would it be a good deal?
