No room for flop attacker in Kaizer Chiefs new era!

Kaizer Chiefs are set to have a squad overhaul at the end of June as part of a new era.

Chiefs have failed to play good football consistently nor score goals and will look to fix this next season.

Chiefs looking to make attacking adjustments

There have been quite a few attackers linked with Chiefs going into the next season. This as a sign of what they’re trying to fix in the final third. Amakhosi have seen the likes of Fiston Mayele, Etiosa Ighodaro, Robert Polievka mentioned as strikers. In the wingers department Oswin Appollis, Elias Mokwana, Mihlali Mayambela and Keletso Makgalwa have been touted.

There have been talks of Chiefs adding playmakers to their squad such as Feisal Salum, Rowan Human and Sipho Mbule. These links have been supported by the exits and proposed exits so far. Amakhosi have released Sabelo Radebe, Njabulo Blom and Ranga Chivaviro so far. More are expected to join that list with an influx of players entering the Naturena village. The latest to be linked with an exit is winger Tebogo Potsane

Potsane set to be loaned out

According to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are hoping to loan Potsane out for the remainder of his contract.

“For now they have been looking at which players to release and there is a list for those. But for Potsane it is expected to be a loan move. They still think there is something in him but things haven’t been going well with him so they believe a loan move could reignite the talent in him with more game time,” said the source to the same publication.

Another source says Chiefs are looking to revamp their wide positions with Potsane making way.

Making way for new signings

“There are several factors the club is looking at to give a chance to Tebogo Potsane. They are finalising the squad which they are expected to take to Holland and with new signings expected, they will release some and loan out some and Potsane is on that loanees list for now,” said the source close to the Chiefs technical team.
