JEROME AND JOE BOOYSEN’S CONTROVERSIAL PAST

Jerome and Joel Booysen – who appeared at the Springbok training camp this week – are no strangers to controversy.

Joel is currently facing murder charges for the death of Cape Town “Steroid King”, Brian Wainstein.

In 2023, the nightclub owner – who was pals with the late AKA or Kiernan Forbes – survived two attempted hits, reportedly from rival gangs.

His dad, Jerome, aka “Donkie,” is a childhood rugby star and is known as the leader of the Sexy Boys gang alongside his brothers Colin and Michael. He is also a businessman with interests particularly in real estate.

The gang is accused of dealing in drugs and ordering the alleged hits of rivals.
