Cape Town is like one big playground offering something for everyone, whether outdoor or indoor, you can take your pick with things to do.
Alongside the myriad of activities in the city are its beautiful parks and gardens. These tranquil retreats offer havens of escape from city life, all conveniently in the city’s suburbs.
One such place is Paradise Park, a playground often described as a hidden gem.
What to do in Paradise Park
While there are a few parks and notable gardens worth exploring in Cape Town, Paradise Park is often described as a hidden playground. It is located between the suburbs of Newlands and Claremont, but due to its seeming obscurity, it remains a favourite among many residents.
It features a variety of fun play equipment and areas, including seesaws, slides, swings, climbing areas, and more. The kids can go wild to their hearts’ content.
But, so can the adults and furry friends; there is reportedly outdoor gym equipment, and it has open grassy areas where dogs can run around, you can have a relaxing picnic, or take a leisurely walk and enjoy the stream.
One of the park’s best features, however, is its famous treehouse, often regarded as the largest treehouse in Cape Town. It’s not only an attraction for kids, but also something everyone can enjoy if they wish.
Have you seen the famous treehouse?
