The Springboks demolished the All Blacks 43-10 in Wellington on Saturday evening.
The Springboks were super, scintillating, and sublime.
Every single player put in a huge shift. From 1-15 and the entire bench, every one of the 23 players stood out on this emphatic, iconic, and historic day.
SUPER, SUBLIME AND SCINTELLATING SPRINGBOKS
DAMIEN WILLEMSE – 9.5
Willemse was phenomenal. He beat defenders like it was going out of fashion. Willemse didn’t just bring the X-factor, he brought the whole show and more. The elusive Stormers back marshalled play in the midfield. When he carried, he made metres too. Additionally, he made excellent defensive reads. Willemse was a nightmare for All Blacks defenders en route to inspiring the Springboks.
CHESLIN KOLBE 9/10
Kolbe scored an interception try against the run of play. He wrapped up his brace early in the second half and dominated the aerial battle all day. Kolbe is back to his best, and so are the Springboks.
ETHAN HOOKER – 8.5/10
What a performance from the young Sharks winger. He was solid on defence and made several powerful runs, including a brilliant break from inside the Boks’ 22. Hooker won most of his aerial battles. He has certainly staked his claim for a starting spot moving forward.
PIETER-STEPH DU TOIT – 9/10
Du Toit took no prisoners. The All Blacks would have felt every clean out and every massive carry. He reminded us why he was the 2025 World Rugby Player of the Year.
RG SNYMAN – 8.5/10
Snyman replaced Lood de Jager in the first half and the rest was history. Snyman capped off a monstrous performance with a try. This was the cherry on top of a complete performance from the Springboks lock and the Boks as a whole.
NO FLOPS, JUST BOK BRILLIANCE
Every single player fired today. Skipper, Siya Kolisi (8), Jasper Wiese (8), and the entire front row created the platform for what was the most dominant Springboks display against the All Blacks ever.
Then, the Boks bench exploded into action. Libbok (8.5) was excellent at 10 after replacing Sasha-Feinberg MngomeZulu.
