Manie Libbok silences critics in Boks’ 43-10 demolition of All Blacks

Springbok flyhalf Manie Libbok silenced his critics with a commanding display as South Africa thrashed the All Blacks 43-10 in Wellington on Saturday.

The Boks ran in six tries and secured a bonus-point win, collecting a full haul of five log points to stay firmly in the hunt for back-to-back Rugby Championship titles.

Libbok, who has come under scrutiny in recent months for inconsistent performances, delivered a near-flawless showing from the boot. He slotted six of his seven attempts at goal, steering South Africa to their biggest-ever victory over New Zealand in Test rugby.

Manie Libbok finally delivers for the Boks

Rugby fans praised the Stormers flyhalf for his performance which saw the All Blacks suffer their biggest defeat against their top rivals.

“Manie Libbok was the fly half at Twickenham went we gave NZ their biggest defeat, guess who was the fly half that topped that defeat today???” @Xaoh_Ami tweeted.

“Manie Libbok was spot on tonight/today. He just needs to be consistent from here. Those box kicks were spot on. When the ball went up, the body language of the All Blacks looked demoralised,” @IrvinNdlovu1 tweeted.

“Manie Libbok has been the catalyst to some of the most beautiful rugby I’ve seen the Springboks play,” @Rowdy_Robbie.

“Manie Libbok had a great game. He only missed one of his 7 kicks. More importantly, his performance at fly half was nothing short of brilliant,” @Rahul_AJ_1990 tweeted.

“Thanks boys you just reminded the world that you are thee World Champions thee mighty #Springboks the disrespect was starting to be sound,” @Buja3D tweeted.

Should Libbok start the next match?
