Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped out together at a star-studded charity concert in Santa Barbara on Saturday.
This was their first public appearance since Harry’s reunion with King Charles earlier this month.
MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY IN CALIFORNIA
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the annual One805LIVE! concert. This event is hosted at Kevin Costner’s oceanfront estate in Summerland, California, according to People.
The charity raises millions of rand for Santa Barbara County’s first responders. Funds go towards essential equipment and mental health support.
PRINCE HARRY’S THIRD TIME
Prince Harry, 41, returned for his third consecutive year. Meghan, 44, joined him after a brief absence from the stage last year.
The Duchess looked elegant in a midnight blue sleeveless shirtdress with tan heels, while Harry chose a dark jacket and jeans.
THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY
The couple appeared in good spirits, laughing and chatting with firefighters and police officers. This was before Harry took the stage to present the ‘Heart of the Community’ award to Fire Chief Mark Hartwig.
Meghan Markle gave her husband a warm hug before stepping aside, according to The Mirror.
“Events like this matter,” Prince Harry told the crowd. “Our first responders put their lives at risk every day. Supporting their mental health is as important as equipping them with the right tools.”
Meghan added: “We are so proud to live in this community. Your service inspires us.”
OPRAH JOINS THE FRAY
The evening featured performances by Trisha Yearwood, The Fray, and Good Charlotte. Oprah Winfrey, a close friend of both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, joined the audience as well.
Much like Santa Barbara, local communities often rely on first responders working under difficult conditions. Mental health support for police, firefighters, and paramedics remains a pressing issue here too.
The concert highlighted the couple’s growing focus on community causes. And it marked a warm and stylish return for Prince Harry and Meghan to the public eye, after months of speculation about their next steps.
