Tesco is selling popular Christmas chocolate for just 75p – but you’ll have to be quick

CHRISTMAS may be three months away, but the festive period has come early at Tesco, as the supermarket launches its yuletide treats.

Now that the weather is getting colder and the nights are beginning to draw in, many of us are getting excited for cosy evenings by the fire, indulging on festive goodies.

And if you can’t wait until winter to tantalise your taste buds, why not gift yourself some bargain chocolate a few weeks early.

Malteasers Milk Chocolate Reindeer are a Christmas staple for many families, thanks to their delicious malt filling, and smooth milk chocolate coating.

The reindeer shaped snacks also feature delectable honeycomb pieces, with the 29g snack perfect for having alongside a warming cup of tea.

Perfect for stocking fillers, the bite-sized snacks are currently on sale at Tesco for just 85p.

However, Clubcard users can nab the chocolate for even cheaper, at just 75p.

However, as the Clubcard offer is only available until December 27th, you better make sure to stock up before it’s too late.

More Christmas chocolate deals

If you’re keen to stock up on sweet treats before the festive period, a major supermarket has slashed the price of Lindt Lindor truffles from £7.48 to £1.87.

Supermarket giant Asda currently has a huge sale on the Lindt Lindor Raspberry & Cream, Milk Chocolate and Hazelnut 200g boxes.

Eagle eyed shoppers were quick to point out the deal online, with one chocolate fan sharing to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group: “Workington Asda Lindt Lindor only £1.87, three different flavours.”

She posted a photo of the red end of the aisle shopping stand with half-empty shelves of Lindt Lindor boxes.

In the comments section, one shopper revealed that the big price drop is down to the chocs being short-dated with a best-before being February 2026.

Bargain hunters are now urging others to stock up while they can, with some admitting they’ve cleared shelves to stash away the sweet deal.

If that’s not enough to satisfy your sweet treat cravings, B&M has slashed the price of a popular Cadbury Christmas chocolate.

The chain has cut the price of Cadbury’s Christmas Selection Pack from £1.75 tom to £1.29.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Inside the pack, shoppers can feast on five classic Cadbury fan favourites, including Curly Wurly, Chomp, Freddo, Fudge, and Buttons.

However, if you’re looking to bulk buy any Christmas chocolate, be warned that Tesco has put a limit on the amount of Quality Street and Celebrations tubs shoppers can purchase.

Last week, Tesco slashed the price of Quality Street 600g tubs to £2.95 instead of £7 with a Clubcard – a huge saving ahead of Christmas.

It has also slashed the price of Celebrations 550g tubs to £4.50 with a Clubcard.

The 600g Quality Street offer has been so popular with shoppers that it has sold out online and limited stock is still available in shops.

However, eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted that a limit has been placed online on Tesco.com for popular Christmas chocolates like Quality Street, Roses, Heroes and Celebrations.

Customers are only allowed to order a maximum of six tubs when ordering online.
