ARNE SLOT tried to play it cool after Hugo Ekitike’s bonkers red card but his face told the whole story.
More specifically, a huge vein popping out of the side of his forehead and the icy cold stare that went with it let fans know that the Liverpool striker trudging off behind him was in for a rollicking.

Ekitike was shown a second yellow after taking his shirt off to celebrate netting an 85th-minute winner against Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
His first booking wasn’t much better, having punched the ball away after the Saints were awarded a free-kick.
A snapshot of Slot pulling a face like thunder, complete with a bulging forehead vein, went viral after Liverpool’s 2-1 win.
One X user wrote: “He is getting his a**e kicked for that!”
Another posted: “Slot is not happy it seems.”
And a third chimed in with: “His first card was also a protest, so he got two unnecessary cards. He’s a player who should learn before he steps onto the field.”
Ekitike’s red means he will be banned for Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace.
Liverpool do have Alexander Isak – signed for £130million to lead the line for years to come.

But Slot has stressed that the Swede is not yet fit enough to play full 90-minute matches.
And although the manager’s popping vein had died down by his post-match interview, he still didn’t go easy on Ekitike.
Slot told Sky Sports: “It was stupid. I never played at this level but I did score a few goals and if I scored a goal like this, I’d have turned around and walked up to Federico Chiesa and said, ‘This goal is all about you, this is not about me’.
“It’s always best to control your emotions. If you can’t, do it in a way that doesn’t lead to a yellow card.”
