Roland Orzabal is best known as a singer, songwriter and a guitarist for the group, Tears for Fears.

He is the only constant member of the band which has had five albums to land in the top five in the UK charts.

Now Roland has welcomed a baby girl with his second wife Emily who is 26-years his junior.

Emily previously shared a photo of herself cradling her baby bump as she stood against a picturesque nature backdrop.

She wore a striped white and brown dress as she stood next to an array of flowers in decorative terracotta pots in June.

However, Curt Smith – who is the bandmate of Roland in Tears For Fears – confirmed the birth of his daughter in an August interview with Vulture.

He told the outlet: “We were going to tour this summer, but Roland and his wife had a baby in June.

“So the summer touring obviously was off because you don’t want to be away from home that close to having a baby.”

It seems the name of the tot was confirmed in the comments section as family and friends issued their well wishes.

One user wrote: “Congratulations to you & Roland on the birth of Eula.”

A second stated: “Ohhhh, Emily! I just knew this was coming! How thrilling for you both and the entire family! So much love being sent to you, Roland and the baby!”

“The glow and beauty of being a mother… Aww, congratulations to you both,” gushed a third fan.

While a fourth wrote: “Sending love and congratulations to the happy couple on their newest family member!”

They added: “May this sweet gift bring them boundless joy, cherished moments, and a heart full of love. Blessed child!”
