Iceland has revealed to the Sun that they will be knocking £2 off popular chocolates.

The bargain retailer currently sells 500g tubs of Celebrations and 550g tubs of Heroes for £7.

The same tubs will be available for £5 starting from November 8.

Shoppers will get to save £2 on the fan-favourite Christmas treats just in time for the holiday.

Christmas chocolate deals

The Sun has compared prices across UK supermarkets and revealed the best offers on your favourite chocolate tubs.

Another British supermarket chain will slash prices of Celebrations tubs by £3.

However, the offer is not available to everyone and you have to be quick to claim it as it’s time-limited.

In other chocolate news, Tesco is selling a popular Christmas treat for only 75p.

However, only the Clubcard holders will be able to claim the deal and it runs until December 27th.

If you’re looking for more deals to satisfy your sweet tooth, B&M has reduced the price of a well-known Cadbury Christmas chocolate.

The Cadbury’s Christmas Selection Pack is now available for only £1.29 instead of £1.75.

A major supermarket has slashed the price of Lindt Lindor truffles from £7.48 to £1.87.

The Lindt Lindor 200g boxes of Raspberry & Cream, Milk Chocolate, and Hazelnut are currently on sale at Asda.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
