FRIDAY night takeways are a way for many households to celebrate the weekend.
But supermarkets are now offering dupes of your favourite fast-food brands, which can help you to save cash.

Here’s what you can eat instead of some of the big-name takeaways. . . .
NANDO’S: Roosters is stocked in Aldi and looks to be inspired by the Portuguese flame-grilled chicken chain, but at a snip of the price.
A pack of hot-and-spicy cooked chicken wings is £2.99 whereas at Nando’s you can expect to pay around £13.25 for ten extra-saucy wings.
Marks & Spencer offers a piri-piri half chicken, which can be ordered through Ocado, £6.75.
A Nando’s peri-peri half chicken is priced from £8.95.
KFC: If you prefer KFC, Roosters at Aldi offers southern fried poppin’ chicken, £1.09 for 210g.
At Tesco, you can find Jahan southern- fried chicken popcorn, 500g, for £2.25.
At KFC, a regular portion of popcorn chicken, around 140g, is £3.99.
DOMINO’S PIZZA: Lidl’s Chef Select range is similar to the Domino’s menu.
Choose from banging BBQ chicken-and- bacon and stuffed-crust cheese-feast and meat-feast pizzas, £3.99 each.
At Domino’s you would pay around £12 for a medium pizza.
McDONALD’S: There are plenty of supermarkets offering more affordable versions of McDonald’s.
A Happy Meal comes in at around £3.69 at Maccy D’s but head to Iceland and pick up a £3 Snacksters cheeseburger Smile In A Box — a meal deal which also includes fries and a gooey cookie.
The supermarket stocks a 20-pack of chicken nuggets, which are a take on the fast-food giant’s McNuggets, but almost half the price at £3.99.
Or try Aldi for a two-pack of takeaway-style French fries, 250g, £1.29.
You can team with a four-pack of chicken strips with either BBQ or chilli dip, 230g, £2.49.
At McDonald’s, its five-piece chicken selects are around £6.
