Married At First Sight fans are convinced producers ‘stepped in’ after couple’s explosive row after bride apologises

MARRIED At First Sight fans are convinced producers “stepped in” as Leigh apologised to wife Leah after their explosive row.

On tonight’s show, Leigh admitted that things from her past had meant she was a bit standoffish and still had her walls up.

Leah praised her partner for going away and working on herself after they clashed during yesterday’s snowy challenge.

But some E4 viewers were left sceptical about Leigh’s apology – with some saying it looked “scripted”.

One wrote: “Leigh trying to be ‘sincere’ while also sounding like she’s reading from a prepared script.”

A second posted: “Did she work on it? Or was she told by producers to get it together.”

A third asked: “Did the producers tell Leigh to try because if so about time.”

“So many turnarounds towards the end of the honeymoon producers must be having a word,” a fourth commented.

This person said: “Given Leigh’s little speech there, the producers have had a word!”

While another added: “Producers stepped in again to basically tell you you’re behaving like a complete tool.”

During their final dinner of the honeymoon, Leigh admitted she wanted to clear the air following her outbursts.

Leigh explained: “I feel we’ve had moments where we’ve been up and down.

“I’ve maybe realised there is an element of me that’s a bit more distance with you because of things I’ve dealt with in the past.

“Subconsciously I’ve built a wall up so much since I’ve been single. It’s like I’ve turned a switch off and I’m struggling to turn that switch back on.

“There’s a bit of me that’s kicking myself.

“I am attracted to you in a lot of ways.”

Leah said she appreciated Leigh going away and working on herself.

Speaking to the camera, Leah said: “It makes me feel like I’m definitely heard.”

Earlier today, Leigh fired back at viewers who have branded her a “bride from hell”.

On last night’s episode, Leigh clashed again with new wife Leah after her partner arranged a activity in the alps for them.

Earlier in the day, Leigh seemed moody while Leah gave her a back massage, which prompted Leah to say she was “hard work”.

After repeated attempt to make her wife happy, Leigh continued to “nit pick”, before a row erupted between the two.

E4 viewers have not held back when it comes to calling out Leigh’s behaviour and have said she’s a “walking red flag”.

In response, Leigh has posted a video on Instagram defending herself as she blamed the “bad edit”.

She started the clip saying: “I’ve got to come on here and back myself here because that edit of that honeymoon was f****** awful.

“I’m still in a little bit of shock myself and I’m already getting an abundance of hate.

“It is what it is.”

Leigh went on to explain: “That massage scene did not go like that. We were in that massage room for about an hour, we both massaged each other, we were having a laugh.

“Each of those comments that they’ve snipped and shown that I made to Leah, we were laughing in between, we were having a joke.

“Believe it or not, we were getting on a lot better than it looks on screen right now.

“I just feel like I’m being done absolutely dirty here.

“Yes I am fiery, yes I am blunt, I’ve got a dry sense of humour, that’s who I am. But that was not as bad as it looks.”
