However, it has now been confirmed that the seven-time world champion will NOT be in attendance at the circuit.
No official reason for his absence has been given.
But it comes after Hamilton shared a heartbreaking health update on his beloved pet dog, Roscoe.
The F1 star’s dog – who he adopted in 2013 – overcame a battle with pneumonia earlier this year.
Asked about Roscoe at the time, Hamilton admitted his “heart stops” when he gets a text about his pooch from trainer Kirstin McMillan.
And following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Hamilton shared a picture of Roscoe being treated at a veterinary clinic to his Instagram story.
He said: “It’s been a scary few hours, everyone please keep Roscoe in your thoughts and prayers.”
Well wishes came flooding in for Roscoe, including from the social media account for Alex Albon’s pets, which said: “We are praying really really hard for you Roscoe.

“We are thinking of you. Please get well soon.”
Hamilton’s replacement for the test was confirmed as Ferrari reserve and ex-F1 driver Zhou Guanyu.
The Chinese driver shared a picture of himself in Ferrari race overalls ahead of the test as he ran in a separate Testing for Previous Cars (TPC) run alongside Arthur Leclerc – Charles Leclerc‘s brother.
They were also joined at the circuit by Haas drivers Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman.
Meanwhile, former F1 star Romain Grosjean is also making an emotional return as he gets behind the wheel of an F1 car for the first time since his death-defying crash at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix.
