Heinz brings back popular Halloween twist on Monster Munch to shops

HALLOWEEN will be extra s-creamy this year as Monster Munch flavour mayonnaise returns to shelves.

The limited edition bottles of pickled onion-flavoured sauce launched in selected stores and on Heinz’s website earlier in the week.

The scarily good special sauce has made a return one year after causing a social media frenzy, where people described the mayonnaise as “incredible”.

The mayonnaise will only be available for a limited release, so keen foodies should hurry to get their hands on a bottle, before it vanishes again.

News of the “monstrous mash-up of smooth, creamy Heinz mayo” in combination with the iconic Pickled Onion Monster Munch Snacks made its way to the US, where people were “begging for it” to be released.

Super-fans can also sink their teeth into a limited edition purple burger that features the mayonnaise from October 1 to November 2 at Fat Hippo restaurants across the UK.

The chicken burger that features a purple bun with the Heinz [Scarily] Good Monster Munch Mayo was developed to specifically celebrate the sauce’s return.

Heinz had hinted at the return of the sauce on social media and the official announcement was lapped up by ecstatic fans.

One person wrote: “This is my favourite sauce ever! So glad it’s back”.

Another quipped: “The scariest part? How fast this jar will disappear”.

Other shoppers said the mayonnaise should be available “year round”.

Brits spent an estimated £25 per head on Halloween items in 2024, speaking to the holiday‘s growing popularity.

Last year, the experimental flavour only had a 1000 bottle run.

Thiago Rapp, at Kraft Heinz, said: “When we first launched [the mayonnaise] last Halloween, we were amazed by the reaction”.

“Fans really loved it,” he said.

“We knew we had to bring it back – Halloween is bigger than ever in the UK and this mayo is the perfect way to add a monstrous bite to any celebration.”

Wayne Newton, from Walkers, said: “Monster Munch has been a Halloween favourite for decades and teaming up with Heinz again means fans can enjoy the iconic sauce again this spooky season”.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing back the sauce that everyone’s been asking for,” he said.

“It’s a monstrous win for Halloween parties everywhere.”

Flying off the shelves for £3.99, the sauce will be available across the country until stocks run out.

The Fat Hippo burger collaboration – starting on October 1 – comes in at £15.90 including a complimentary side.

While the food product has won hearts and stomachs across the UK, one store’s racy decor has turned heads for all the wrong reasons.

The Range shoppers were left horrified by decorations that looked VERY rude – and the image will leave you giggling.

The shocking décor depicts an animated bride and groom, both as skeletons and dressed in vintage-style wedding attire.

The decor placement had the poster “cracking up”[/caption]

According to the retailer, the pricey £129.99 decoration features light-up eyes and releases sounds to create an eerie atmosphere in any festive setting.

Online, the spooky bride – who also has some flowers attached to the veil – can be seen pulling the groom’s head upwards, as he is standing on his knees.

However, one shopper, Therese Ryan, was recently left blushing after she spotted the 5ft 11in decoration in person – and it looked totally different.

Taking to TikTok, Therese said she ”didn’t know what to think”, as she wondered ”what the hell is going on here”.

Unlike in the photos posted on the website, the groom’s head was still attached – however, the rather unfortunate placement made it look as if the couple needed to have some ”privacy”, people joked.

As the bride was holding the groom’s head right by her ‘private parts’, TikTokers chuckled and said Theresa had “caught them having a moment”.

Baffled by what she was seeing, the shopper wondered: “Is it me or does this look a bit weird?

“Do you think I should tell the staff?” the customer said.

“Anyway, maybe it’s my rude mind.”

Sharing the hilarious find on her page, Theresa wrote in the caption: “Cracked me up!”

How to save on Halloween
