THEY might walk the red carpet arm in arm and gush about how their cast feels like “family”.
But behind the cameras, not all co-stars are as close as they seem.
Hollywood and TV land have been rocked by legendary feuds, bitter bust-ups and even an argument that was taken to the grave.
Lena Headey and Jerome Flynn in Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey refused to appear on screen with her ex and co-star Jerome Flynn.
Lena – ruthless queen Cersei Lannister and Jerome, who plays bodyguard Bronn, got together before GoT, but eagle-eyed fans spotted they never appeared in the same shot.
A show source told The Sun at the time: “Lena and Jerome have not filmed together due to a bad break-up.
“They kept the full extent of it secret but it was a very turbulent relationship and it has been very awkward on set.
“Lena has opened up to her trusted friends. She appears to have a genuine hate towards him.”
The pair first worked together in Soldier, Soldier back in 1993.
They were romantically linked in 2002, with Lena’s aunt even confirming their relationship.
Jerome once said: “We’re not a couple right now, people have seen us together and jumped to conclusions. I can’t rule out a relationship with her.”
But after Lena reportedly ended the affair in 2014, they kept their distance, and reps for both stars and HBO refused to comment at the time.

The Fast & Furious family was anything but peaceful when Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson clashed on set.
Diesel plays street racer and criminal Dom Toretto in the F&F franchise, who Johnson’s FBI agent character Luke Hobbs at first hunted and then teamed up with.
When The Rock took to Instagram to call out a “chicken s**t” and “candy ass” co-star, setting the rumour mill alight.
Despite it being their fourth film together, the pair didn’t share a single scene in 2017’s The Fate of the Furious.
The Rock later told Rolling Stone in a diplomatic summary of the feud: “Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer.
“And what I came to realise is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach movie making and collaborating.
“It took me some time, but I’m grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not.”
Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette on NCIS

Fans were stunned when Pauley Perrette quit NCIS after more than 15 years as Abby Sciuto.
But behind the scenes, tensions had been boiling with co-star Mark Harmon.
Reports claimed clashes began in 2016 after Harmon brought his dog to set and it bit a crew member, leaving them needing 15 stitches.
By her final episode, Pauley and Mark didn’t even appear on screen together — her farewell to Gibbs came in the form of a letter.
After her departure, Pauley tweeted cryptically about “incidents” on set.
Executive producer Charles Floyd Johnson later admitted: “In Pauley Perrette’s case, there was an incident with the show with a dog.”
Bill Murray and Lucy Liu in Charlie’s Angels

Lucy Liu revealed years later that her on-set spat with Bill Murray was as ugly as the rumours suggested.
She recalled during a podcast: “We had taken the weekend to rework that particular scene, and Bill Murray was not able to come because he had to attend some family gathering.
“So it was everyone else.and we just made the scene more fluid.“I wish I had more to do with [the rewrite], but I didn’t,” she continued.
“Because I was the last one cast, and I probably had the least amount of privilege in terms of creatively participating at that time.”
While Liu didn’t specify what Murray said to her during the rehearsal of the scene, she confirmed reports that the actor started “to sort of hurl insults” at her after learning of the rewrites.
At the moment, the actress had difficulty processing what was happening. “I was, like, ‘Wow, he seems like he’s looking straight at me.’
“I couldn’t believe that [his comments] could be towards me because what do I have to do with anything majorly important at that time?” she said.
Liu added: “I say, ‘I’m so sorry. Are you talking to me?’—and clearly he was because then it started to become a one-on-one communication.”
Liu believed some of the language Murray used “was inexcusable and unacceptable.”
Therefore, she decided to speak up, even though she was one of the lesser-known actors on set.
“I stood up for myself, and I don’t regret it,” she said.
“Because no matter how low on the totem pole you may be or wherever you came from, there’s no need to condescend or to put other people down.”
Liu went on to share that she has since reconciled with Murray.
“I have nothing against Bill Murray at all. I’ve seen him since then at an SNL reunion, and he came up to me and was perfectly nice,” she said.
“But I’m not going to sit there and be attacked.”
Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano in Charmed

For Charmed stars Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano, things were anything but magical behind the scenes.
The hit series, which ran from 1998 to 2006, cast the pair as on-screen sisters — Shannen as Prue and Alyssa as Phoebe.
Off-screen, however, their relationship spiraled from close friendship to icy feud.
At first things were going well.
Shannen was even a bridesmaid at Alyssa’s wedding, joining fellow co-star Holly Marie Combs in supporting her big day.
In 1999, Alyssa gushed to US Weekly that she felt “incredibly lucky” to have found such strong friendships with her co-stars.
But the harmony didn’t last, and the former friends ended up taking their argument to the grave.
Reports soon surfaced of heated personality clashes and tension on set, with insiders claiming the atmosphere became increasingly difficult.
By the end of season three, Shannen left the show and her character was killed off.
Rose McGowan later stepped in as new sister Paige.
Shannen didn’t hold back when asked about her departure.
Before her death from cancer in 2024, she claimed on her Let’s Be Clear podcast that she was fired due to an alleged ultimatum Alyssa gave producers.
She said: “He said, you know, ‘We’re basically in a position where it’s one or the other.
“We were told [by Alyssa] that it’s [Shannen] or me, and Alyssa has threatened to sue us for a hostile workplace environment.”
She claimed that Alyssa “built a case for herself” by using a mediator to document every time she felt uncomfortable on set
Alyssa took to Instagram after the podcast to insist she “did not have the power to get anyone fired.”
She said: “This was so long ago that any retelling of these stories from anyone is just revisionist history.”
