Shoppers race to get their hands on Terry’s Chocolate Orange flavour spotted back on shelves for Christmas

A POPULAR Terry’s Chocolate Orange flavour has been spotted back on supermarket shelves – and it’s perfect for stocking up before Christmas.

Shoppers with a sweet tooth can now get their hands on the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Snowy Crunch bar at Morrisons.

The sweet treat costs £1.25 and weighs 90g.

It is made with real orange oil and crunchy white chocolate balls.

But instead of being cut into squares, the bar is made up of chocolate orange segments, similar to the original festive treat.

The chocolate bar is back for another year, after being relaunched for the festive season.

Shoppers have raced to get their hands on it again this year and have taken to social media to voice their excitement.

One eager shopper said: “This is going to be my Christmas downfall.”

While another added: “Ugh yum it’s back.”

And a third said: “We need!!!”

If you want to get your hands on the product then you’ll need to head to Morrisons or order it online.

Terry’s Chocolate often brings back popular chocolates around Christmastime and launches new flavours for the festive season.

This year it has also brought back Terry’s Chocolate Orange Toffee Crunch.

The round chocolate comes with the same orange-flavoured milk chocolate but is complete with crunchy toffee pieces.

It can be picked up from Tesco for £2, or £1.80 with a Clubcard.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Meanwhile, the brand has also launched a new flavour of the popular Christmas treat.

The Terry’s Chocolate Caramel is another twist on the original Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

Unlike the Terry’s Chocolate Orange Toffee Crunch, this sweet treat doesn’t contain any orange flavour.

It costs £2 and is only available at the Co-op.

But you’ll need to head to your nearest store to get your hands on the treat as it doesn’t seem to be available online.

Other new chocolate spotted on supermarket shelves

With Christmas less than 100 days away, many supermarkets and brands have launched their range of festive treats.

Among them is Quality Street, which has launched a new mystery flavour, which will be revealed until December.

The new chocolate will not be available in the usual Quality Street tins.

But chocoholics will be able to guess the taste by visiting a pick-and-mix station at John Lewis and Waitrose stores nationwide.

Elsewhere, Bailey’s has launched an exciting new chocolate flavour.

Bailey’s Chocolate Caramel Whirls are now available in a three-pack for just £2.50.

Each treat is made with fluffy marshmallow and caramel, encased in creamy milk chocolate, which has a hint of Bailey’s.

Meanwhile, Cadbury has launched a new Crunchie flavoured Freddo.

The treat costs 30p and can be picked up from several major supermarkets.
