Strictly’s Nadiya Bychkova stuns in outfit on first live show – but it’s doesn’t save Chris Robshaw from harsh scores

NADIYA Bychkova and her partner Chris Robshaw opened up the first Stirctly lives of the year.

The professional dancer, 36, and the rugby player, 39, were asked to perform the samba to EMF’s ‘Unbelievable’ to open the show – a tough dance by any means, let alone for your first.

Three dancers on a stage, a woman in a black dress with blue ruffles points at the man in the middle, who is wearing a black shirt and pants, while a woman to his right, in a sparkling dress and feathered boots, smiles at him.

Chris came down the Strictly steps with confidence rocking a black, white and silver shirt with a number ‘7’ on, reminiscent of his sporting days.

Meanwhile Nadiya stunned in a black and silver tassle dress, with matching thigh-high silver tassled boots.

The pair ultimately scored rather poorly, raking in some harsh scores of two 3’s and two 4’s.

But Nadiya’s dress kept fans talking, especially her boots.

“Couldn’t take my eye off Nadiya’s boots/leg accessories tbh,” shared one user.

“Nadiya’s boots ALONE deserve a 10,” and “Nadiya looked fabulous,” agreed others.

Even the judging panel made a nod to Nadiya’s outfit.

Judge Motsi Mabuse was giving Chris feedback, saying he showed ” a lot of focus on Nadiya”.

To which host Tess Daly responded: “Hard not to, she looks fabulous.”

Tess also said later on, “Anton, I’m going to fight you for those boots by the way.

And Anton Du Beke replied with: “I’ve got boot envy”.

Though the pair’s scores were harsh, fans seemed to feel Chris looked a little awkward but praised him for opening the show.

“I see Chris having potential as the weeks go on, not great but not awful,” said one user.

“Not a bad effort from Chris, tough dance to start tbf,” said another.
