Mystery drones now spark chaos in Spain as flights diverted from Fuerteventura after days of incursions across Europe

FLIGHTS have been diverted from an airport in Spain’s Canary Islands after drones were spotted – as incursions continue to spark chaos in Europe.

According to reports, drones flying near the airport forced the diversion of the flights that were due to land this morning.

The aircraft were coming from Seville, Santiago de Compostela, and Gran Canaria, El Mundo reports.

The plane that departed from Santiago de Compostela was diverted to Lanzarote – while the other two went to Gran Canaria Airport.

It comes after days of drone incursions in other countries in Europe.
