IT shot straight to the top of Netflix’s viewing chart over the weekend – and I can reveal the streaming giant’s latest blockbuster drama will get a second round.
Even though it’s yet to be officially announced, another series of House of Guinness is set to be served up after it got a bumper number of views since dropping on Thursday.

Netflix has been waiting to see what the response would be to the show – which stars James Norton, Anthony Boyle and Louis Partridge – before confirming its future.
A TV insider said: “Not only have viewers been binging the series, it’s also achieved the unusual feat of winning over most telly critics too.
“Which is no wonder given the huge budget the show had, along with a stellar cast and, of course, the fact that it comes from the pen of Peaky Blinder creator Steven Knight.”
The overlord of the show, which chronicles the true story of the Irish brewing family in the 19th Century, is already busy giving us another series of the Brummie gangster show.
Plus he’s also doing more SAS Rogue Heroes for the BBC, and has already made a second series of 1,000 Blows for Disney+, with all these projects likely to drop in 2026.
But he already seems committed to delivering much more of House of Guinness and, when asked about the prospect last week, he appeared to be “manifesting” rather than confirming more series.
Sounding like he had his tongue slightly in his cheek, Steven said he wanted to do at least three more series adding: “We are going to do this all the way to the 1960s!”
Given that the show is set in the 1860s, that’s certainly a fanciful ambition. Netflix – who were approached for comment – have so far kept quiet on the issue.
But I’m told the stars are already aligning for the House of Guinness sequel – and it could drop as soon as next year.
