MAFS couple take relationship to the next level after CYCLONE traps them in their luxury hotel

A MARRIED At First Sight couple take their relationship to the next level after a cyclone ends up trapping them in their luxury hotel.

Bailey, 36, is currently appearing on MAFS UK, and last week viewers watched him marry bride Rebecca Fenney, 32, on the hit E4 reality show.

Bailey and Rebecca are one of the more recent couples to have got married on the show.

She didn’t seem best impressed when she met him down the aisle, and things continued along this path up to the honeymoon.

After asking Bailey to “please just accept me” in her wedding vows, Rebecca went on to take a swipe at her new husband’s height.

When Bailey told Rebecca he is 6ft 4 – she repeated his height in disbelief before telling the camera “no, he’s 6ft 1”.

But, the weather appears to have played a role in bringing the pair together as, in the most recent episode, the newlyweds kissed in the pool

A cyclone hits and the couple grow closer, with Sarah telling the cameras: “Bailey is firmly out of the friend zone.”

Rain can be seen battering the windows, leading the couple to cosy up together indoors while waiting for the storm to pass.

In the next scenes, they looked closer than ever as they giggled away in the pool and couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

Bailey says: “Last night was really cosy and the cyclone did help. It’s safe to say that we definitely got a bit closer last night.”

It comes as Bailey’s ex has hinted their open relationship “nearly destroyed her”, after it was revealed how he “didn’t follow the rules”.

The Sun previously revealed how, despite a set of rules being in place for that relationship, Bailey “didn’t always follow them.”

A source close to the former couple told The Sun: “Those close to Bailey and his ex-fiancé know that the relationship was not monogamous, and as it was an open relationship, both parties hooked up with other people at different times throughout their partnership.

“The couple had some rules in the relationship, and Bailey didn’t always follow them, but has taken accountability for his mistakes and openly talks about them on MAFS UK.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

They continued to add: “He and his ex-partner remain friends, and there is a mutual respect between them. They shared some amazing experiences together and continue to support each other.

“All will be revealed on MAFS.”

Now Bailey’s ex Lulu, who shares a child with the MAFS star, posted several messages on her Instagram Stories, about a past relationship “almost destroying” her.

The posts read: “Do you know how strong you have to be to heal from wounds caused by someone who swore they loved you?

“Do you know how strong you have to be to still radiate love, even after everything you’ve been through?

“Do you know how strong you have to be to believe in love again after the last time nearly destroyed you?

“May you attract someone who treats you like they’ve been waiting their whole life to find you.

“Loyal behind my back… that’s my type.

“I hope you find someone who hate’s hurting your heart.”

With this in mind, Lulu may have been pleased to see that her ex fiance Bailey’s MAFS wedding didn’t get off to the best start.
