Clare’s return has caused chaos in the village – and she’s not done yet[/caption]
And while there are claims she has now left the Channel 4 soap, The Sun can exclusively reveal that she will be back.
A source said: “Gemma recently finished filming for her first stint back as Clare – but fans shouldn’t worry because she will be back.
“She’s signed a new contract ensuring her return after a short break which works for the character.
“Clare’s always at her best when she comes in, causes chaos and then flies off and that’s just how Gemma likes it too.
“She loves being on Hollyoaks and working but she’s got two young daughters on the other side of the country and she wants to be around for them too.”
The show has recently completed filming for its explosive 30th anniversary that will air all next month.
The show will celebrate with a huge month of celebrations as well as a trademark stunt.
Show boss Hannah Cheers told us: “You can’t do a Hollyoaks commemoration without some kind of spectacle.
“So there will be a stunt.”
And more than that Hannah also revealed a huge battle between two Hollyoaks titans will take centre stage for October.
Having recently returned from the dead to the village after 12 years, Clare is back and she’s set to clash against serial killer Jez Blake in the run up to the big anniversary.
“Well, yes, obviously we’ve got two kind of Hollyoaks titans here,” Hannah added.
“We’ve got kind of very iconic Hollyoaks faces. And it’s not an accident that they are both in the show in the run up to the 30th anniversary.”
