Ward-Prowse was made vice-captain by Potter and has started every Premier League game so far this season and has drawn stiff criticism from segments of the fanbase.
SunSport understands there are no injury issues that would lead to the 11-cap England international being left behind for the trip to Merseyside.
Nuno, 51, took training on Saturday after Potter was dismissed and oversaw a longer session on Sunday before the squad travelled north to face former manager David Moyes and his Everton side.
Ward-Prowse made 10 appearances under the new manager during a short loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season.
The ex-Southampton midfielder joined Forest in a deadline day move last summer to make space for Carlos Soler at West Ham but never truly established himself at the City Ground and was recalled in January.
The 30-year-old has eight goals and 12 assists in 73 West Ham appearances.
Nuno has been handed a tricky start to life at West Ham, with away trips to Everton and then Arsenal before the international break.
His first home game in charge at the London Stadium, against Brentford on Oct 20, has been earmarked as a game for supporters to boycott as they continue to protest the owners.

The Bees’ visit to the London Stadium will be shown live on Sky Sports, with swathes of empty seats expected.
Organisers have also hinted at a large protest march before the Hammers host Burnley on November 8.
