Putman family crash ‘caught on semi-truck cameras’ as cops seek search warrant for driver who ‘killed’ 3 family members

THE DEADLY Putman family car crash was likely caught on the semi-truck’s cameras, cops have claimed.

Bill Putman, the patriarch of the reality TV family The Putmans, his wife and their daughter-in-law, Megan, died in the horror accident that unfolded in Michigan on Friday, September 26.

The Tuscola Sheriff’s Department exclusively told The U.S. Sun that police are turning their eye toward what might be the only video evidence of the crash that occurred on a rural country road.

“Right now, search warrants are in the process of happening for any video,” a deputy said.

“If the [trucking] company cooperates with us just by requesting it, then we won’t have to do a search warrant.

“Our detectives are reaching out to see whether or not they’re going to cooperate, or if we’re going to have to do a search warrant.”

The deputy went on to explain that there was no surveillance video on the rural roadway.

“There’s no video footage from the roadway; it’d be from the camera within the semi, and if it was recording,” the deputy said.

The deputy did not believe the Putmans’ vehicle had a camera.

He also confirmed the driver of the semi was arrested as soon as he was released from the hospital over the weekend, and that his passenger has not been charged.

The driver, whose name was being withheld until charges were formalized, is set to be arraigned Monday, September 29.

HORROR ACCIDENT

The crash near Cass City also left Megan’s son, Noah, and her 11-year-old niece, Gia, hospitalized in critical condition.

On Sunday, family members shared updates on their recovery via Instagram.

Noah remained sedated but had shown responsiveness to movements, offering a glimmer of hope.

Gia underwent a craniotomy, and her family revealed that her brain pressure has reduced “significantly.”

The family shared that they remain steadfast in their faith, believing that God has a “purpose” through their struggles.

“Even in the hardest moments, He is present, working in ways we may not yet understand,” they said.

Noah and Gia were among five members of the Putman family rushed to the hospital in critical condition following the tragic crash.

Megan’s husband, Blake, and their other children, Lulu, 13, and Alena, 11, were also hospitalized.

The accident occurred when a semi-truck collided with the family’s Jeep after the truck driver allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.

“We are asking for complete healing and strength for each of them,” the family said in a heartfelt statement.

Just days before the accident, Barb, known as Neenee, had paid tribute to her husband Bill on his birthday.

“Happy birthday to my incredible husband!” she wrote on social media. “Bill, welcome to our Medicare years!”

Barb praised Bill, describing him as a blessing and inspiration to their family. “You love us unconditionally and have always been consistent with that even through our faults,” she shared.

“As a husband, you love me like Christ loves the church, and I never take that for granted.”

She continued, “As a dad and papa, you are such a gift to our family. You are our safe place, our inspiration, and our encourager.”

The Putman family gained recognition through their TLC show Meet the Putmans, which aired for one season in 2017.

Bill and Barb had three sons—Blake, Billy, and Brandon—and a daughter, Blair.

Their children’s spouses, along with Bill and Barb’s 16 grandchildren, all lived under one roof.

In 2017, Blake reflected on their unique living arrangement, saying, “Think of the four couples that you are best friends with and enjoy spending a lot of time with,” in an interview with The Huron Daily Tribune.
