The golf influencer admitted that she was not ‘shocked’ by it[/caption]
Team Europe stars such as Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry endured multiple moments of unacceptable behavior over the tournament.
It did not put them off their rhythm as they helped their team win the Ryder Cup for the first time on American soil since 2012.
Lowry hit the crucial putt that confirmed that Europe would retain the famous trophy and put an end to the USA’s fightback on Sunday.
Paige, 32, was not surprised by the controversy in the crowd as she hit out on social media.
She also called for major change in fan behavior across all sports as she recalled a “vile” incident at a football game she recently attended.
She wrote: “I’m sadly not shocked by the fan behavior at the Ryder Cup because it’s become the norm at most sporting events and in my opinion it needs to change across all sports.
“I was at a football game recently and this man in front of me was disgustingly drunk, yelling the most vile shit to players and opposing fans in the stands, spilling his drink everywhere, wanting to fight people.
“It completely ruined the experience for me and everyone around him.
“What was interesting was that his young (maybe 7 years old) nephew was right next to him, listening to everything.
“At one point, the kid started copying him and was yelling the same things and the family was laughing.
“This behavior is taught. I’m not saying you have to sit quietly.
“You can have passion, chirp, have fun banter, enjoy yourself at the event or game but there’s a line and it’s crossed so many times now.”
The message was spread to her 1million followers on X who agreed with her sentiment.
One posted: “Completely agree with you Paige.”

A second wrote: “This! All of this. Fan behavior has become abhorrent and ruins the experience.”
A third commented: “This is exactly right.”
A fourth said: “So tired of people’s behavior.”
Another added: “Fans can be obnoxious. Across the board at all sports.”
Meanwhile, Paige also hit out at the “envelope” rule at the Ryder Cup.
The rule allowed each team to get half a point after Viktor Hovland was ruled out due to a neck injury.
Before the tournament, she defended US star Bryson DeChambeau, who had been branded as a “captain’s nightmare”.
