An elephant attacked a tourist and forced a woman underwater during a canoe trip in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
The tourists, guided through the delta in canoes, reportedly drifted too close to a bull elephant and her calves, according to The Telegraph.

Video footage shows the elephant charging at the group, tipping their canoes, and throwing them into crocodile-infested waters.
At one point, the elephant pushed a woman beneath the surface and held her underwater before finally retreating. Fellow tourists helped her back to her feet after the ordeal.
British and American visitors are involved
A receptionist at a nearby tour company confirmed the group consisted of British and American visitors. “They lost or damaged a lot of expensive camera equipment and phones, but thankfully no one was seriously injured. Wild animals can be very unpredictable,” she told The Telegraph.
A former game ranger described the incident as a lucky escape, warning that the group could easily have been killed.
