South African stars Focalistic, Thakzin and Naledi Aphiwe will headline #ACCES2025 in Tshwane from 30 October to 1 November, joining Grammy-winning producer Gordon Williams at Africa’s premier music industry event.
The conference will feature Focalistic sharing strategies from his international “Piano To The World” campaign, Thakzin breaking down Web3 opportunities for African musicians, and 18-year-old viral sensation Naledi Aphiwe discussing how she balances global recognition with artistic authenticity.
Each artist brings unique expertise, from Focalistic’s Amapiano empire-building to Thakzin’s groundbreaking 3Step genre creation and Naledi’s journey from township choir to Chris Brown collaboration.
Music Industry 2025: Global Tours, Web3 and Career Growth
The artists will lead sessions on transforming viral moments into sustainable careers, covering international touring, digital innovation, and maintaining cultural authenticity.
Focalistic is expected to decode his successful European and North American tour strategy, while Thakzin to explore Web3’s potential and Naledi to reveal how she balances education with a booming music career.
According to Music In Africa Foundation executive director Eddie Hatitye: “ACCES serves as the premier platform uniting the international music market with Africa’s vibrant creative spirit, creating concrete opportunities for partnerships and economic growth.”
Showcase Festival Line-up: Over 80 African Acts to Perform
The 2025 ACCES conference in Tshwane will include a Showcase Festival presenting more than 80 musicians across two nights, October 30 and November 1.
The lineup reflects the breadth of the continent’s current sound, with artists representing genres from Amapiano and Afro-soul to various electronic fusions.
The schedule includes performances by South African artists like Focalistic, Zoë Modiga, and Thakzin, alongside musicians from elsewhere on the continent, including Mpho Sebina of Botswana and Claudio Rabe from Réunion Island.
