BIG Brother icon Nicola McLean says current housemate Caroline Monk should have been kicked out for her controversial comments to transgender co-star Zelah Glasson.
The PR expert, 56, shocked viewers and her co-stars on Tuesday night when she appeared to purposely offend the popular contestant.

Caroline misgendered Zelah, 25, during a game of spin the bottle, declaring, “she’s a girl!”.
It came as she asked pansexual housemate Nancy Nocerino, 22, which housemate she would most like to have sex with, reasoning she wanted to know who Nancy would choose to rebuild civilization with if she was stranded on a desert island.
Earlier in the night, Caroline asked Zelah, “If you had a cock, what would you do with it?”
The uncomfortable exchange took its toll and Zelah told Big Brother: “I can’t remember the last time words hurt me like that.”
Big Brother hauled Caroline to the Diary Room and gave her a formal warning, but viewers, and Nicola, feel it wasn’t enough.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun on behalf of WhichBingo, she said: “I always think it’s intent with anything. I’m an ally, but we can’t always be up on the newest things because they change.
“I would never say any of the things she said, but if I miss off a letter [of LGBTQ+]everyone will know I didn’t mean to leave out a letter, I’m an ally.
“Her intent was bad because she f***ing knew what she was doing. She carried on, she carried on and it was really bad. I don’t think people should be cancelled if they’re willing to learn and go ‘oh my God, hands up. I didn’t realise’.”
She continued: “I think it’s really disappointing she wasn’t kicked out. Nip it in the bud, ‘we’re not accepting that’.”
Nicola, who has spent 56 days in the Big Brother house across three series, added: “I was sitting there going you can’t say that what are you talking about, shut your mouth.”
Less than 24 hours after the scenes aired, a housemate was removed from the house – but it was George rather than Caroline.
The 23-year-old actor and parish councillor was given repeated warnings over his language and bosses acted to remove him with immediate effect.
A Big Brother spokesperson told The Sun: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”
The offending comments won’t be aired tonight as they contravene broadcasting standards.
George has been up for eviction this week, along with Cameron B, Elsa and Richard. The scheduled elimination will still go ahead.
Prior to Caroline and George’s bad behaviour, the focus in the house had been on a budding romance between Marcus and Elsa.

The pair have appeared close, sharing cuddles and holding hands in bed, before they were hit with showmance accusations.
Nicola dismisses that, and reveals she is rooting for a proper Big Brother relationship to develop.
The show has a rich heritage of making memorable couples from Grace Adam and Mikey Short, who are still together today some 19 years after taking part, and more short-lived romances such as Chantelle Houghton and Preston, and the late Nikki Grahame and Pete Bennett.
Nicola says: ” I’m a sucker for love and I just love a love story on Big Brother. So, you know, I’m here for it.”
