GETTING married is exciting – but the price of wedding dresses can bring you back down to earth with a bump.
However, one savvy bride shared how she picked up the dress of her dreams for just £25 on Shein.

Stunning bride Laura shared a photo from her beautiful nuptials, where she looked breathtaking in her off-the-shoulder gown.
Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she showed off her bargain find to help fellow brides.
She wrote: “£25 SHEIN wedding dress did the job.
“So good for a bride on a budget or who’s having a low key day!
“I know it’s not strictly UK but it’s definitely a bargain that could help a few UK brides!”
In addition to her dress, she also picked up a bargain £2.87 veil, shoes for £14.06 and bouquet for £8.87, all from the Shein.
Meanwhile, they also purchased solid yellow gold wedding band for a purse-friendly £86 on Etsy.
Stay-at-home mum Laura, 32, told Fabulous that she was “pleasantly surprised” when the affordable dress arrived from Shein.
She shared: “The material was thick and the dress was heavy. It didn’t feel cheap, and it was super flattering.”
The stunning bride shared how she and her plasterer husband Levi, 36, had wanted to keep their wedding budget low as they have children and they prioritise “memories over material items.”
They also had a rather unconventional plan for the day, as they had their first dance as a married couple at an Oasis gig later that day at Wembley Stadium.
Laura, who shared photos of the day on her @themrsmillan TikTok account, added: “I wanted something quick and easy which I wouldn’t mind getting ruined if I wore it to Oasis.”
Considering on average, brides in the UK spend between £1,300 and £1,500 on their wedding dress, with some designers even charging upwards of £10,000 for their gowns, Laura certainly saved a fortune.

The dress in question was Shein’s Elisanya Women’s Elegant Cross Off Shoulder, which comes in sizes six to 12/14.
Not only does it come in white for wedding settings, you could also pick it up in black for parties.
It’s not only Laura who is loving the dress, as many people have given it a five-star rating.

And people on Facebook also loved the bargain wedding dress, with one saying: “Wow it looks alot more expensive. You look beautiful.”
And one added: “You look absolutely stunning and your husband very dapper. Congratulations to you both.”
And a third said: “I love this! So many people spend hundreds or thousands on a dress they will only wear once.”

Laura said: “When we met three years ago, we talked about how much we love Oasis and said Cigarettes and Alcohol would be our funeral song.
“Our son was born to the song.
“And at the concert, it felt like our first dance.”
She’s not the only person to have found their wedding dress on Shein.
Take bride-to-be Sophie Cook for example, she found a stunning dress from the Chinese retailer for just £40.
And another lucky lady spotted a jaw-dropping dress being priced at a cool £13.77, thanks to a 66 per cent discount at the fast fashion giant.

What is Shein and is it legit?
Shein is an online-only fast-fashion retailer, based out of China, that has become a number one shopping destination for many around the world.
The company was valued at $66billion in 2023, dwarfing that of popular high street brands Zara and H&M.
The fashion retailer was founded in late 2008, by entrepreneur and marketing specialist Xu Yangtian, also known as Chris Xu.
Shein is a legitimate selling website and is not a phishing scam.
But you may receive a disappointing order or run into shipping issues if you order from the site, according to reviews.
There have been swathes of quality complaints, which makes sense when looking at the price tag.
