Interiors expert Noveau Home, which has a homeware shop, revealed the “simple ways to make your home feel expensive.”

Here are their seven easy tweaks you can do to your home…

ADD LARGE MIRRORS

If you are deciding what pieces to add to your home, you should consider a large mirror, according to the experts.

It turns out that it can actually make smaller homes or flats appear bigger.

They explained: “Adding large mirrors (mirrors bounce off light making the room feel lighter and larger).”

CHANGE HANDLES

One of the quickest ways to transform a piece of furniture is to change the handles – and it’s very easy to do.

Noveau suggested adding brass handles in your kitchen and to your cabinet drawers to look more expensive.

You can pick up new handles for as cheap as £1.50 from Temu so it doesn’t have to cost too much.

ADD STATEMENT CEILING LIGHTS

Another way to instantly elevate your room is to change the ceiling lights.

The home experts recommend you opt for a statement piece that draws the eye upwards, creating the impression of higher ceilings and grander proportions.

Statement ceiling lights do more than simply illuminate a space – they set the tone for the entire room.

PANELLING

Panelling has been all the rage over recent years, and it doesn’t need to cost the earth.

We previously shared how a woman did it herself with no DIY skills using an £18 kit from B&Q.

Wall panelling does more than cover a surface – it adds instant character and makes rooms feel less plain.

Noveau recommended that you do it in hallways to bring them to life.

Another simple way you can change the look of a room instantly is by adding matte black picture frames, claims the experts.

Thankfully, matte black pairs effortlessly with any colour palette, adding timeless sophistication to any space.

COFFEE TABLE BOOKS

It can be tempting to use a coffee table as a dumping ground in your home.

However, if you look at celebrity houses or interior design experts, they nearly always have a coffee table book there as the focal point.

They not only fill the space, but also tell a story about your style and interests for guests.

LARGE CONCRETE LAMPS

Another focal point you can add to your room is a large concrete lamp.

They make your room look more expensive due to their weight and scale – and the soft lighting contrasts with the raw concrete.
Their minimal but bold look mimics high-end, designer pieces – bringing a quiet sense of luxury without feeling overdone.

People rushed to the comments to give their views on the tips.

One said: “Unfortunately I’d have to remove my husband, 2 teenager boys and my 3 dogs.”

Another added: “My vibe totally…… it’s beautiful.”
