Alan was tasked with murdering someone in plain sight, with him choosing Paloma Faith.

The comedian had to touch Paloma’s face after touching a poisonous Lily, which then led to her murder.

Fans were gutted to see Paloma get murdered on the show, as was the singer herself, who took to social media immediately to share her heartbreak.

In one very cryptic video shared on her social media last night, Paloma hinted at who might get banished next.

Paloma hinted that influencer and YouTube sensation Niko Omilana might be next to get the chop from the show.

“I love you Niko, I’m sorry,” Paloma said in a video shared on her Instagram stories.

Paloma also tagged the influencer in the story.

The video was shared 14 hours ago at the time of this story being published, and a tweet on X shared at the same time saw a fan say: “NOOOO Paloma the suspicion is going to be on Niko now.”

Also on X, one fan said, “Nobody mentioning that Paloma said Niko hugged her… they’ve bottled it.”

“I have a feeling they’re gonna vote niko off because of what paloma said,” added a second.

A third penned: “If they end up voting niko out first because he hugged paloma im gonna crash out.”

And a fourth said: “So glad the show is back but oh my lord If we lose Paloma and Niko in the first week (kinda) imma be livid Two massive characters gone that quick would be sad.”

While a fifth added: “Hopefully they can save Paloma in this challenge. If not, Niko is done for when they remember he hugged her.”

The hug that fans referred to was when Paloma hugged YouTuber Niko at the end of the night before her murder.

How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?

The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.

Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.

How does it work?

It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.

The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.

The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.

While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).

Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition

Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.

The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.

The prize sees the winner could get £120K.

Taking place in the first few minutes of Thursday night’s episode, the celebrities are all saying goodnight to one another before they head to bed.

Paloma could be seen hugging Niko and saying goodnight, while making a joke that she might be murdered.

Fans think that because Paloma and Niko hugged, he might be the next celebrity in the firing line – especially because of what Paloma said on her Instagram stories.

Since her exit, the singer has dropped three clues that her and Alan’s friendship might be over in real life since he murdered her.

As the show aired on Thursday evening, Paloma shared an Instagram story of her simply swearing “f**k” as she tagged Alan in it.

As well as this, during her exit interview, she took the time to praise many of her castmates but notably left Alan out.

When asked what her highlights on the show were, she explained: “I liked feeling how physically competent I was with the Trojan horse. That was such a thrilling group achievement and hard work.

“Also, meeting people I’d never crossed paths with before. Celia is just an absolute dream. And I love, love Niko. He’s amazing.

“It was so nice to meet Cat as well. Ruth Codd was one of the funniest, most brilliant people I’ve met in a long time!”

The final nail in the coffin is on a post the performer uploaded to her Instagram feed.

In the picture, a devastated Paloma is seen sitting by the grave she was buried in as she captioned it: “Honestly. GUTTED. No words @bbc @bbciplayer #traitors.”
