TAYLOR SWIFT has scored the fastest- selling album in eight years with The Life Of A Showgirl and the biggest opening week for an international album in the UK this CENTURY.
The project, all about falling in love with Travis Kelce, has sold 423,400 copies in the UK alone in the last seven days.
It’s the biggest opening for an album since Ed Sheeran’s Divide in 2017 which shifted 672,000 units.
It’s also the first time a Taylor album has gone Brit-certified Platinum in its first week.
It is her 14th No1 album, meaning she has surpassed Elvis Presley and is level with The Rolling Stones.
Taylor also has the most UK No1 albums for an international act, with only The Beatles and Robbie Williams both having 15 chart-topping albums.
Showgirl is the UK’s fastest-selling album on vinyl this century and the 84,000 streaming sales in a week is also a record.
She is also dominating the singles charts filling the top three places with The Life Of Ophelia.
It is the biggest first week for a single in four years.
She is at number two with Oplaite and three with Elizabeth Taylor.
NO DOUBT have announced their first run of shows in 14 years with a residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
The group, fronted by Gwen Stefani, reunited for two gigs at Coachella last year but will now play six nights at the futuristic venue in Sin City, kicking off on May 6 – 30 years after seminal album Tragic Kingdom.
Jack just loves to perform
JACK SAVORETTI celebrated his birthday yesterday by dropping a new single, Do It For Love.
Bizarre’s very own Jack caught up with him over a swanky breakfast in Mayfair to celebrate – and reveal news of a special show at the Royal Albert Hall on April 26.
Chatting about the track, penned by The Last Shadow Puppets frontman Miles Kane, Jack said: “This song is me explaining to the audience why we’re up there.
“It’s an anthem for anyone who keeps going, who refuses to take no for an answer.
“You can romanticise why we write and sing and perform songs, but essentially, it’s because we love doing it.”
Next year, as well as the special gig to mark 20 years in showbiz, Jack’s also planning to release his ninth album.
J-Lo kept rocking on year off
SHE is super glamorous on stage and screen but Jennifer Lopez said she lived like a “granny” for a year after splitting from Ben Affleck in early 2024.
On the Las Culturistas podcast, J-Lo said: “I took a whole year off, I finished Kiss Of The Spider Woman last March and I didn’t start another movie till the following March.
“During that year, I literally just sat in a rocking chair.
“It’s a little bit granny but I put my feet up, I put my iPad over here in case I need to online shop.”
But she confessed of retail therapy: “It’s crazy. The online shopping is a problem.”
She added: “It made me realise, you have nothing to prove. You should just be doing s**t you love when you want to do it.”
