THE M60 has been shut in both directions this evening after a “serious” crash involving a car and a bike.
The collision happened near Swinton, Greater Manchester, at around 6.30pm, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene.

The motorway is currently closed between Junction 15 for the M61 and Swinton Interchange, and Junction 16 for the A666 Manchester Road.
National Highways confirmed that all traffic has been stopped on both carriageways while police and officers deal with the incident.
In an update around 7pm, travel services warned of “severe” delays in the area.
Traffic cameras show long queues and congestion building as vehicles remain at a standstill.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes while the incident is being dealt with.
It comes as three people were taken to hospital after a serious crash brought Bristol city centre to a standstill.
Emergency services were called to Plimsoll Swing Bridge, Brunel Way, shortly before 12:20pm yesterday following a collision involving two cars and a van.
Police said one person suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, while another was seriously hurt.
The A3029 Brunel Way was closed between the A370 and Bristol Gate, causing severe congestion across the city.
Police have launched an investigation and urged anyone with dashcam footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference 5225285521.
