After a week of scorching heat across Gauteng, relief is on the way as rain and cooler temperatures are expected this weekend, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
Both Pretoria and Johannesburg are forecast to experience partly cloudy conditions with possible showers and thunderstorms from Saturday afternoon into Sunday.
The SAWS also predicted rainfall in parts of the Free State, Limpopo, Eastern Cape, and KwaZulu-Natal.
