John was cooking in casual attire with multiple pans on the go.

In the video clip, Lisa asked her husband: “Johno, what are you making?”

He answered: “Ah, I’m making a version of pad Thai. I’ve got crispy pork belly and chilli sauce, and then seafood curry and rice.”

Delighted and stunned, Lisa zoomed in on the food cooking in the pans to give followers a closer look.

She said, “Oh my,” before declaring, “Love you.”

John looked into the camera and replied, “Love you.”

The couple looked in high spirits despite his shock axe from BBC’s MasterChef – and the series final airing that very night.

Long-time presenters John and Gregg Wallace were both axed from presenting future series.

A report revealed more than 40 historic complaints against Gregg had been upheld, along with a claim that John once used a racist term.

John confirmed to The Sun that it referred to him, but said: “I have absolutely no recollection of this, and I do not believe that it happened.”

A BBC spokesperson then confirmed Torode has been axed from the show.

A statement read: “John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation of using racist language against him.

“This allegation – which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace- was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by the law firm, Lewis Silkin.

“John Torode denies the allegation. He has stated he has no recollection of the alleged incident and does not believe that it happened.

He also says that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment.

“The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously. We will not tolerate racist language of any kind and, as we have already said, we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken.

“John Torode’s contract on MasterChef will not be renewed.”

The Beeb has decided to go ahead with airing the new season of MasterChef, which features Gregg and John as hosts, because it was recorded before the report was commissioned.

Meanwhile, fishmonger Harry Maguire has been crowned the winner of MasterChef 2025.

An emotional Harry reacted to his win, saying: “Champion isn’t something I’ve ever called myself before.

“I can start celebrating now! This is one of the happiest days.

“It’s been incredible. I really cherish the memories.

“You can’t put into words what we’ve had the opportunity to do, and to top it off with the trophy is everything I ever dreamed of.

“The whole experience has been surreal and completely exhilarating but I’ve loved every minute of it.

“The standard was so high that I had to bring my A-game every time. Even making it to the final was beyond my wildest dreams and MasterChef has redefined the way I approach cooking.”

He added: “I don’t know what’s coming next, but as long as I’m cooking, I know I’ll be happy doing what I love.

“It could be my own private dining company or I also like the idea of running a simple local restaurant, somewhere relaxed but memorable. I just want to be cooking every day!”

At the end of eight weeks of demanding MasterChef challenges, Harry’s culinary efforts culminated in an intense final cook-off against two runners-up, 47-year-old copywriter Claire Syrenne and Sophie Sugrue, 26, who works in post-production.

Commenting on Harry’s achievements, MasterChef judge Anna Haugh said: “There are restaurants across the country trying to do food like that and not succeeding.

“For an amateur cook, I’ve never seen anything like that. Harry today cooked food that no amateur should be able to do.

“That’s a magical gift, and Harry has it.”
