However, in recent months, eagle-eyed fans have begun to notice her continued absence from the programme.
Keeley hasn’t been seen on screens since April and she has now confirmed in a social media post that behind-the-scenes she has been facing a secret health battle.
Writing online, the TV star said: “A little update on me. I’ve been away from work over the last few months because I haven’t been well.
“Thanks to everyone who contacted me.”
Keeley did not address the cause of her illness opting to keep this private but did go onto confirm that her job had been changed during her period of leave.
The star revealed that she would not be returning to Look North and instead had been switched to a different channel.
She continued: “In other news my job is changing slightly.
“I’m really sad to say that I’m no longer going to be doing my usual Friday weather slot on Look North, it’s always been the highlight of my week.
“In brighter news I shall be presenting the weather every Tuesday and Wednesday evening for North West Tonight and I’m excited to get to know this new patch.
“I’ll still be on here with all my usual weather updates.”
Keeley’s new role will see her focus on the North West district covering the Greater Manchester and Merseyside regions.
Grimsby-born Keeley has worked in broadcasting since the age of 14 when she began hosting on a local cable channel.
She became a freelance reporter with the BBC before training in meteorology with the BBC and the Met Office.
Keeley then began to host weather bulletins for most of the BBC’s Northern regions as well as being a stand-in newsreader and roving reporter for BBC Look North in Leeds.
In 2014, she was chosen as the Saturday morning host of BBC radio Humberside before she eventually opted to return to Look North to continue her weather duties.
For a time in 2016, she was also the host of the BBC’s Countryfile spin-off, Countryfile Diaries.
Keeley lives in Leeds with her husband, BBC presenter Johnny I’Anson.
They have a daughter born in 2020 with Keeley sadly suffering a miscarriage three years later.
