‘Best aunt ever’ leaves people in hysterics after she accidentally gives her niece a makeover during an autumn walk

A WOMAN who reckons she is the ”best aunt ever” has left people in stitches after giving her niece a makeover during a walk – without even realising it.

Caroline Zig took to TikTok to share the epic fail after her niece Ella got back home looking a bit different.

Luckily for Caroline – and Ella – she managed to remove most of the stain right before her sister came home

According to Caroline, who is a ”first-time aunt”, she had applied some fake tan prior to the walk to achieve a gorgeous bronzed glow.

As the little baby still can’t walk, Caroline put the niece in a carrier before heading outside to enjoy the autumn walk.

But what Caroline clearly hadn’t thought about was the bronze mousse transferring onto Ella’s face, as she rested against her chest.

While fake tan works wonders to give your body a glow, it’s also notorious for leaving stains everywhere – especially when it hasn’t dried fully.

Unfortunately for Ella, who was fast asleep during the walk, this is exactly what happened to her.

Sharing the hilarious transformation on her page, Caroline said: ”When you think you’re being the best aunt ever and then realise you have fake tan on.”

The TikToker, who posts under the username @caroline_zig, also shared footage of Ella during the walk – and afterwards.

The adorable niece, who was totally unaware of the fail, had a huge round mark of fake tan on her face – the exact spot where she had rested her head on.

Luckily for Caroline, who simply said ”oopsies” in the caption, she managed to get most of the stain off using wipes before her sister came home.

While fake tan mousses are a safe alternative to sunbeds, they should never be used on babies and kids.

Babies have very delicate skin that is more prone to irritation and sensitivity than adult skin, and some chemicals in fake tan can lead to an allergic reaction.

When it comes down to breastfeeding, experts advise taking precautions.

”To ensure no self-tanning product comes into contact with your baby or is ingested, we recommend refraining from applying self-tan to the breast and chest areas,” Rose and Caramel reported.

”Additionally, if you intend to breastfeed your baby shortly after applying self-tan, we understand the challenge this presents, but we suggest ensuring you have thoroughly rinsed off the guide colour beforehand.”

  • Tester: Abby Wilson, Senior Fabulous Digital Writer
  • Review: “This product give a very natural looking tan and if you wanted something a bit bolder, I’d suggest leaving it on longer or choosing a darker shade. I’m impressed with the results, but now my entire room stinks of the stuff.  If you’re on a budget and want a tan for last-minute plans, I would say this is one to try. “

bBold Dream Mousse Tan in Dark – £9.50 Buy Now

  • Tester: Josie O’Brien, Senior Fabulous Digital Writer
  • Review: “The first thing that hit me about this tan was the “juicy watermelon” scent – it’s delicious. I was left with a natural bronze hue rather than orange glow. My only qualm is that the tan seemed to stick to my dry patches and accentuated ‘strawberry skin’ on my legs. I’m still adding this tan to my arsenal though – the smell, colour and texture are dreamy.”

St Moriz Professional Medium Tanning Mousse – £4.99 Buy Now

  • Tester:  Kate Kulniece, Fabulous Writer
  • Review: “Not only does St. Moriz mousse leave you with a gorgeous bronzed glow, but it also smells fabulous – think Piña Colada on a sunny beach. At first, I was a little bit sceptical cause I’m a gradual fake tan girlie, but this quick developing St. Moriz number may change it all.”
