A familiar fixture is back on the calendar as Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt host Tottenham for the second round of Champions League action.

These two clubs last faced off just 145 days ago in the Europa League semi-finals, where Spurs, then managed by Ange Postecoglou, secured a comfortable 2-0 win at Bodo’s Aspmyra Stadion – a venue known as much for its modest 8,270 capacity as for its artificial surface.

But any concerns about the pitch that night were brushed aside by Spurs, who also claimed a 3-1 victory in the first leg in north London, sealing their place in the final with a 5-1 aggregate win.

Fast forward five months, and it’s a new chapter.

Now under the guidance of Thomas Frank, Tottenham arrive in good form, sitting fourth in the Premier League after six games with 11 points from a possible 18 and a five-match unbeaten run across all competitions.

Frank’s side were a touch fortunate to extend that unbeaten run over the weekend with midfielder Joao Palhinha rescuing a point against struggling Wolves.

Still, momentum remains with Spurs, and there’s every reason to believe they can return to winning ways.

Tottenham have won three of their last four away games in major European competitions, while Bodo/Glimt have lost all five of their previous meetings with English opposition in Europe.

That said, Kjetil Knutsen’s side are an extremely good outfit.

In their first-ever UCL bout, they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 away at Slavia Prague – becoming the first Norwegian team to overturn such a deficit in the Champions League since 1999.

Domestically, they’re also flying high, sitting second in the Eliteserien with a league-leading 59 goals scored from just 22 matches, and are currently unbeaten in five games.

We’re backing Bodo/Glimt to find the net twice or more in Tuesday’s Champions League clash at 13/10 with William Hill.

The Norwegian side didn’t do themselves justice in last season’s Europa League semi-final meetings with Spurs. But with less pressure and home advantage, they’ll be eager to set the record straight.

En route to the Europa League semi-finals last season, they scored 2+ goals against Porto, Braga, Manchester United, Besiktas, Olympiacos, and Lazio.

And since that second-leg defeat to Spurs back in May, Kjetil Knutsen’s side have hit 2+ goals in eight of their last 11 home fixtures.

If goals are the order of the day, then it’s more than likely that Tottenham livewire Mohammed Kudus will be involved.

Kudus made eight dribbles on his Champions League debut for Tottenham against Villarreal, the most by a Spurs player in a game in the competition since March 2020. He’s also created a bumper 12 chances for his colleagues in the Premier League this season – more than any other Tottenham player.
