Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau is now a free agent following his release by Qatari outfit Qatar SC.
Qatar SC announced the departure of the Witbank-born attacker on their social media platforms on Thursday.
Tau had joined Qatar SC from Al Ahly at the start of 2025, but he now finds himself without a club.
The 31-year-old South Africa international leaves Qatar SC having failed to score in any of the 10 competitive matches he played.
However, Tau did play a role (providing assists) in four goals scored by Qatar during those 10 matches.
In all honesty, Tau had a decent stint with Al Ahly where he scored 30 goals and provided 14 assists in 126 matches.
Prior to his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns, Tau had scored 24 goals and registered 27 assists in 103 games.
Tau is already in South Africa, and he was at Orlando Stadium when Orlando Pirates played Magesi FC last week.
