BUCKINGHAM Palace is getting into the festive spirit – opening its first-ever Christmas pop-up shop packed with royal hampers, posh gins and stocking fillers.
The shop will be set up at the Royal Mews in London, the site of the famous horse-drawn carriages and cars used to transport the King and senior royals.

Normally shut for winter, the Mews will fling open its doors from November 14 to January 5 to welcome festive shoppers.
Visitors will be able to wander through a reimagined shop space that feels every inch the royal Christmas grotto.
The pop-up promises a treasure trove of royal-inspired gifts – from trinkets and hand-painted tree decorations to luxury hampers.
Gin lovers can sip botanicals from the Royal Estate, while history buffs can pick up wine glasses inspired by a punch bowl once used by Queen Victoria.
There will also be ceramics based on the great kitchen in Windsor Castle and edible treats perfect for Christmas morning.
Perfect for early birds, the pop-up runs right through the festive season, so there’s plenty of time to stock up.
A statement on the Royal Collection shop’s website reads: “Something magical is coming to Buckingham Palace this November – our first ever dedicated Christmas pop-up shop.”
Fans of the royals can also shop the collection online, with jewellery, luxury linens and biscuits in a tin decorated with the coat of arms of King George IV and King William IV already available.
The launch is expected to draw crowds of royal-watchers, tourists and Christmas shoppers looking for a gift with a regal twist.
It could even become a new tradition, with hopes the Palace will open its doors for more festive shopping in years to come.
So whether you’re after a classy keepsake, a royal-themed bottle of gin or a last-minute stocking filler, the Palace is set to be the most majestic shop in town this Christmas.
