Premier League sides Liverpool, Wolves, Fulham and Brighton also progressed on Tuesday night, while Burnley were stunned by League One Cardiff at Turf Moor.
More action follows this evening as Carabao Cup holders Newcastle begin their defence against third-tier Bradford at St James’ Park.
And the final clash of the third round sees two-time League Cup winners Arsenal travel to Port Vale.

- The Carabao Cup 4th round draw will take place on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Port Vale vs Arsenal.
- The Gunners make the trip to Port Vale on Tuesday, September 24.
- The clash at Vale Park will kick-off at 8pm, so the draw is expected to take place around 10pm.
