Carlos Alcaraz revealed at the US Open what makes his rivalry with Jannik Sinner such a special one.
“Obviously, the matches (smiling). That’s the first thing. And, you know, which rounds we will play against each other.
“I mean, for what we are fighting for, I think that makes a really good rivalry. Right now, Jannik and I we are fighting for the No 1 spot.
“We are fighting for the Grand Slams. We’ve played three finals already this year. A few Masters 1000 finals.
“So, we are fighting for the great things in tennis, and I think that makes a good rivalry.
“That’s what we are making, making us a really good rivalry and that’s what the ‘big three’ did. They played the Grand Slam final, and they split the No 1 spot for a really long time.”
Improve his English
Carlos Alcaraz also revealed which English movies and series’ he’s been watching lately to improve his English.
“I’ve seen, like, for example, not too many series. I’m more a movie guy (smiling).
“So, for example, the last one I’m watching is Pulp Fiction, a good one. I know it’s old. I know it’s old (laughter)
“But a lot of really good movies that I haven’t watched. Good Will Hunting, I love it.
“And series, I just watch Suits. Really good one. Long, but really good one. I know it’s American movies, so I just getting to listen.”
