The young chef has had to close three restaurants in total[/caption]
The first Luciano’s restaurant was opened in 2020 in Dorchester, Dorset, but soon folded.
A second location, in Exeter, followed in 2021, and went under in May of this year, having gone into administration in 2023.
Lunciano’s in Woking opened in 2022, but was dissolved on September 5, with the restaurant having just £31.94 in the bank.
The nepo-baby’s restaurant chain reportedly owed £100,000 to HMRC when the latest venue collapsed.
Documents from Companies House also show that the chef owes more than £150,000 to 26 creditors, according to the Telegraph.
The young restaurateur also runs the Rudloe Arms, which was renovated by father Marco in 2021.
A review posted to TripAdvisor earlier this year reportedly described Luciano as “arrogant”.
“Luciano shouted out, ‘You are a typical Wowcher guest who won’t pay their bill’. How rude and wrong was he”, the review read.
Reviews have also claimed the chef is “bordering on aggressive”, and gives “terrible customer service”.
Luciano has also been accused of giving a fake name to unimpressed customers at the pub.
The Sun has contacted Luciano and Marco’s company, Black and White Hospitality, for comment.
More restaurant closures
And Luciano’s isn’t the only restaurant that’s been struggling, as a celebrity chef’s posh restaurant could be set to close its doors for good, just five years after being saved.
Rick Stein‘s Malborough, Wiltshire, location has not been performing as well as his other restaurants, meaning it may face the chop.
A spokesperson for Rick Stein Marlborough told Gazette and Herald: “We can confirm that we are proposing the closure of our Marlborough restaurant and are consulting with the team to explore whether this can be avoided.
“Our other restaurants and rooms continue to trade well, but this particular site has not delivered the same level of return.”
It has also been announced that a Michelin star restaurant is set to close for good after six years.
Pophams London Fields launched as a bakery and evening pasta concept in 2019 but will shut on October 30.
And last month, Channel 4 chef Dom Taylor announced he is closing his Marvee’s Food Shop in Ladbroke Grove, West London, due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
The Caribbean restaurant only opened a few month’s prior, in May, as part of the music and events space UNDR, near the famous Portobello Road.
